Cowboy Cookies

Grandma Albers style

2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups oatmeal
6 oz. butterscotch chips

Sift flour, soda, salt, and baking powder together.
Cream shortening and margarine and sugars.
Add Eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
Stir in oatmeal, vanilla, and butterscotch chips.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies
